Agroscope is the research institute of the Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture. The subdivision ILM (Institute of Nutrition Sciences) concentrates two research stations in Posieux and therefore organizes a public competition in 2013, which is won by danz architekten.

The compact, flat structure is divided by incisions, courtyards and atria and forms an communicative space inside the outer ring with reasearch laboratories and production facilities. The atrium with the characteristic helix staircase leads from the main access axis of the building to the institutions on the upper floors.

The building combines the seemingly contradictory worlds of agriculture and high technology, which is also reflected in its materialization.

Completion is scheduled for 2018.
